Describe what you need, and find apps that fit
Type what you’re looking for in your own words, like “billing for my small pharmacy, on Android”. When no app matches the words, choose Find apps that fit: AppKade works out the kind of software, platform and price you want and shows the listings that fit, saying what it looked for.
Suggestions for your listing’s category, platforms and audience
Write your listing’s description, then tap Suggest a category and details: AppKade suggests a category, where it runs and who it’s for, right under each field. Tap a suggestion to add it; nothing is chosen for you.
Filled your listing from a link? The editor offers suggestions for what the link didn’t fill.
AI models and datasets get a suggestion for what they do.
You can have 2 listings live or waiting to go live at once on the free plan. Listings in review count too, so a listing you submit can always go live once approved, instead of waiting for you to withdraw one.
When every place is taken, you can still edit and save a draft. The listing’s page says how to free a place.
See how your listings did, every two weeks by email
Once a listing has been live for a week, you get an email every two weeks with its views, link clicks, saves and enquiries, but only when there’s something to report. The full numbers are on each listing’s Stats page.
Working on a draft? Reminders and My listings now say how often buyers looked at apps in its category last month.
Send a listing for review before adding your legal name
You can now submit an app, AI model or dataset for review without your legal name. If it’s approved first, it goes live as soon as you add the name, right on the listing page. The name stays private.
Reminders about an unfinished listing now say exactly what’s left and link straight to its checklist.
Starting from a link? You’ll see straight away if we couldn’t find screenshots on that page.
No listing yet? Paste your app’s link right on My listings.
Share any listing, and see which shares bring visitors
Every app, AI model, dataset and listing for sale now has a Share button. On a phone it opens your phone’s share menu, so you can send it on WhatsApp, Viber or anywhere else in one tap.
Developers: your Share kit now has a QR code for posters and shop counters, plus Telegram and email.
Every shared link is tagged, so your Stats show which shares, posts, QR scans and badge clicks bring visitors.
Your listing’s Stats page now counts each visitor once over the whole period, and shows how often your listing appears in AppKade’s lists, where visitors came from, what they searched for, which links they used, and their devices and countries. Open Stats from any live listing.
Add ?ref= and a name to links you share, such as ?ref=whatsapp, to see those visitors as their own source.
Your own visits are no longer counted, even when you’re signed out on a device you’ve used to sign in.
You can now keep up to 5 listings on the free plan, drafts and listings in review included, instead of 2. Up to 2 of them can be live at once. Your dashboard shows how many you’re using.
Apps, AI models, datasets and listings for sale all count towards both numbers.
You can send a listing for review while 2 are live. It goes live once you withdraw a live listing or mark one sold.
Bots now have their own platform. Choose “Chat bot” when you list, add your bot’s link, and buyers get an “Open in Telegram” (or WhatsApp, Discord) button.
Paste your t.me link under “Fill from a link” to fill the name, description and picture.
Buyers can filter the Apps page to show only chat bots.
Sign in with GitHub and your profile is filled in for you, or connect GitHub later from your profile. You can also upload your own profile picture.
Connecting GitHub fills your GitHub link, picture, name, bio, website and location, only where they are empty. A connected account also counts as proof for the Verified badge.
Signing in from an email link now completes by itself, so there is no extra button to press.
Your picture shows in the menu straight away, and saving shows progress as it happens.
See how much AppKade has checked about each developer
Every developer now shows whether AppKade has verified them. Developers say whether they publish as an individual, a brand or a company, so a nickname is fine.
Developers give AppKade their legal name or company, kept private, before submitting a listing.
The Verified check can now finish with a call or a WhatsApp message.
Search comes first on the home page, listings keep Visit website and Contact on screen as you scroll, and app cards are shorter so more fit on a screen.
Jump to a category from the home page with the new chip row.
Developers see every missing step at once when submitting a listing, and long listing forms fold into sections.
Paste your extension’s Chrome Web Store link and we fill in its name, summary, full description, icon and screenshots. If your AppKade email is the developer email on Google Play or the Chrome Web Store, we confirm the app is yours straight away.
The same screenshot can’t be added to a listing twice.
Links from stores we can’t read yet, such as Firefox Add-ons, now say so instead of filling in the store’s own details.
To keep AppKade useful for buyers, every listing must be a real product people can use or buy today, not an advert for a company or its services. Apps need at least one screenshot, datasets a sample and record count, and models a demo or sample link, free or paid.
Action needed: If your live app has no screenshot, add one with your next update.
Apps: add at least one screenshot of the real app before you submit or update.
Datasets: add a sample (upload or link) and the number of records.
Models: add a demo link, or a link to example outputs or a sample.
To sell a whole running business, use a listing for sale.
Every email from AppKade has a new, easier-to-read design with one clear button. Each one ends with a reminder that AppKade never asks for your password, sign-in code or a payment, so you can spot a fake.

Staying safe on AppKade: a safety guide and more ways to report
A new Staying safe page explains what AppKade will never ask for, how to buy source code or a business safely, and the warning signs of a scam. You can now report a listing that pretends to be someone else, and we check listing links for malware and phishing before they go live and while they are live.
Action needed: If you list a well-known app, be ready to show you own it: your dashboard explains how when it is needed.
New accounts need a permanent email address you can access.
If you list a well-known app, we may ask you to show that you own it before it goes live.
Copyright and impersonation reports need a contact email, so we can follow up.
Start a listing from a Google Play, App Store or GitHub link
Paste your app’s Google Play, App Store, GitHub or website link, or a Hugging Face link for a model or dataset, and AppKade fills in the name, description, logo and screenshots for you. Check the details, add anything missing and submit.
Developers can now list Sinhala and Tamil AI models and datasets about Sri Lanka, with a licence and an optional sample file. Buyers can browse them in a separate AI section, apart from apps.
Action needed: Apps, AI listings and open sale listings now share one limit of 2 on the free plan. Check the slots you are using in your dashboard before you start a new listing.
On the free plan you can have 2 listings in total, counting apps, models, datasets and open sale listings together.
Reviews, questions, side-by-side comparison and collections
Buyers who contacted a developer can leave a review, marked “Verified enquiry”. Anyone can ask a public question on an app page, compare up to 3 apps side by side, and browse curated collections. Developers can reply once to each review and answer questions from their dashboard.
Get the Verified developer badge without uploading documents
Confirm your website or GitHub account from your profile, then take a short phone call from AppKade. Buyers see the Verified mark on your profile and beside your name on your listings.
Developers can now earn badges for their work on AppKade, shown on their profile and beside their name. The first 25 developers to publish an app get the Founding Developer badge.
Buy and sell source code, projects and app businesses
Developers can list source code, templates and running app businesses for sale. Buyers can ask questions and make offers, and sellers can accept, decline or make a counter-offer. AppKade reviews each listing but isn’t part of the sale and doesn’t hold payments.
Sellers can keep a business’s name private until a buyer agrees to keep it confidential.
Each listing and offer page has guidance on safe payment and handover.
A step-by-step guide from sign-up to your first live listing
New developers see a short guide in their dashboard that walks through each step to a published listing, and a reminder email if a draft is left unfinished.
Filter apps by the details that matter, and share your listing
Listings now include details such as platforms, languages, who the app is for and whether there is a free trial, and buyers can filter by them. Developers get ready-made share links for WhatsApp, Facebook and LinkedIn, and an “Available on AppKade” badge for their website.
AppKade opens: find Sri Lankan apps, or list your own
AppKade is a marketplace for software made by Sri Lankan developers. Browse reviewed listings by category, contact developers directly, and list your own app for free. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live.
Developer profiles, pricing on every listing, and enquiries that go straight to the developer.
