1. About these terms
AppKade Marketplace (AppKade, we, us) is operated by the AppKade team in Sri Lanka. These terms apply to everyone who uses appkade.lk, including visitors who browse listings and buyers who send enquiries.
By using AppKade you agree to these terms. If you list an app, the Developer Agreement and Listing Policy also apply to you. How we handle personal information is explained in the Privacy Notice.
2. What AppKade does
AppKade is a discovery and listing service. Developers list their apps, we review each listing before it is published, and buyers can browse listings, follow links to the developer’s own website or send the developer an enquiry.
AppKade does not sell apps and does not process purchases. We do not take payment for any listed app, we never hold your money, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a developer. Every listing says so: “Sold and supported by the developer.”
3. Listings and reviews
Each listing is written and kept up to date by its developer, who is responsible for its accuracy. Before a listing or an update goes live we check it against our Listing Policy: for example, that the app is available, that the description and screenshots reflect the real product, and that the developer has confirmed they own the app or have the right to list it.
Our review is a reasonable check, not a guarantee. We do not test every feature, audit security or verify every claim, and we do not guarantee that an app is fit for your particular purpose. A Verified badge on a developer profile means only that we checked that developer’s identity or business details. It is not an endorsement of their apps.
Prices change. The pricing label on a listing (Free, Freemium, Paid, Subscription or Contact developer) is a guide; the developer’s own website is the authority on the current price and terms.
4. Buying from a developer
The same applies to AI models and datasets. Their licence, stated on the listing, decides what you may do with them; check the full licence on the developer’s site before you use one, and especially before using it commercially. Sample files are provided by the developer as they are.
When you select Buy, Visit website, Try demo or Contact support, you leave AppKade for the developer’s own site. Anything you buy there is sold by the developer under their terms. The developer is responsible for the app, its price, payment, delivery, licensing, refunds, support and how they handle your data.
Before you buy, check the developer’s terms, refund policy and contact details. If something goes wrong, contact the developer first. If you believe a listing is misleading or fraudulent, report it to us and we will review it. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made from developers.
5. Buying source code or a business
Developers can list source code and running businesses for sale. AppKade reviews each listing against the Listing Policy and, where a business runs on a domain, checks that the seller controls it. AppKade is not part of the sale: we don’t hold payments, act as an escrow or guarantee what’s sold. The buyer and the seller agree the price, payment and handover between themselves, and the seller is responsible for transferring what they sell.
Revenue, profit and user numbers on these listings are reported by the seller and not checked by us, and past results don’t guarantee future ones. Before paying, do your own due diligence, agree in writing what’s included, consider a non-disclosure agreement and an escrow service for a business, and arrange for the transfer to happen before the final payment. Sellers are responsible for any taxes on a sale, and a business sale may need ownership to be re-registered with the relevant authorities.
A domain is only ever sold as part of a business. Moving a .lk domain needs approval from the LK Domain Registry, and AppKade takes no part in it.
6. Enquiries
You can send a developer an enquiry from their listing, or an offer or question to the seller of source code or a business. We pass your name, email address, optional phone number, message and any offer amount to that developer so they can reply to you directly. See how we handle enquiries.
Enquiries must be genuine questions about an app. Do not send spam, advertising, abusive messages or anything unlawful, and do not use someone else’s details. We limit how many enquiries can be sent and may block enquiries that break these rules.
7. Reviews
Buyers who sent an enquiry about an app can review it once, from the link we email them. Reviews must be your own honest experience of the app. Do not review an app you or your employer make or compete with, write a review in exchange for payment or anything else of value, or include personal details, abuse or unrelated content.
AppKade checks every review before it’s published and may decline or remove reviews that break these rules, but never for being negative. Developers may post one public reply to each review, under the same rules. By sending a review you let AppKade show it, with the name you choose, on AppKade and in search results. See how reviews work.
8. Using AppKade responsibly
When using AppKade you must not:
- break the law, or use AppKade to deceive, defraud or harass anyone;
- impersonate a person or business, or misrepresent your connection with a developer or app;
- try to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access, or test our security without permission (report vulnerabilities to us instead);
- interfere with the service, for example by overloading it, bypassing rate limits or verification, or introducing malicious code;
- copy or scrape listings in bulk, or reuse developers’ content, except as the law allows.
9. Content and intellectual property
Listing content, such as app names, logos, screenshots and descriptions, belongs to the developers who provide it. They grant us permission to display it on AppKade under the Developer Agreement.
The AppKade name, logo and site design belong to us. You may link to AppKade and to individual listings freely, but you may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you without our written permission.
If you believe content on AppKade infringes your rights, follow the complaints and takedown process.
10. Changes to the service
AppKade is a new service and will change. We may add, change or remove features, and we may remove or suspend any listing that breaks our policies or that we reasonably believe could harm buyers. We try to keep AppKade available but do not promise uninterrupted service.
11. Our responsibility to you
Browsing AppKade and sending enquiries is free. To the extent the law allows, we provide AppKade “as is”, and we are not liable for:
- apps, products or services sold by developers, or any agreement between you and a developer;
- the accuracy of information developers provide;
- websites we link to, which we do not control;
- indirect losses, or losses we could not reasonably have foreseen.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Sri Lankan law that cannot be limited, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, or our liability for fraud or for anything the law does not allow us to exclude.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as AppKade develops. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, tell registered developers by email before the change takes effect. The version on this page applies from the date it is published.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. Please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly.
