1. Titles
Every developer on AppKade has a title. Titles only go up: we never take one away because a listing went out of date.
- Published Maker: you have an app live on AppKade. The Published Developer badge. Your personal referral link. Your apps can be chosen for AppKade collections.
- Trusted Maker: you meet all of these, checked automatically every night:
- your Sri Lankan mobile number is confirmed (Contactable);
- one of your apps has been live for at least 30 days;
- one live listing is complete: a demo link or video, at least 3 screenshots, an FAQ and the languages it supports;
- every live listing was approved, or confirmed as still current, within the last 180 days;
- none of your apps was taken down by AppKade in the last 90 days.
- Featured Maker: each quarter AppKade chooses a few Trusted Makers, up to a limit we publish, for the care they put into their listings. You choose whether to accept. A 14-day AppKade Pick on the home page. A spotlight post on AppKade’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Early access to new developer tools. The dated title, kept for good.
If a Trusted Maker criterion stops being met, the benefits pause but the title stays. We tell you 30 days before a listing goes out of date, and the benefits come back the night after it’s fixed.
2. Badges
Badges mark something specific you’ve done, such as publishing your first app, listing in Sinhala or Tamil, keeping a listing complete or up to date, or referring other developers. Most are awarded automatically; a few, such as reporting a security issue, are checked by a person. Each badge says how it is awarded. You can hide any badge, or your title, from your public profile.
3. Referrals
Published Makers get a personal referral link. A referral counts towards the Community Ambassador badge once the developer who joined through it has had an app approved and live on AppKade for 30 days.
Referrals don’t count between accounts run by the same person or business, accounts used on the same device or with the same phone number, or your own accounts. Up to 10 referrals count each quarter. You must tell us about any other AppKade account you run; you can do it from the Rewards page in your dashboard.
4. What rewards never are
- Never cash or credit. Rewards can’t be exchanged for money, transferred, sold or bought.
- Never chance. There are no draws, raffles or mystery rewards. Every rule is published here and applied the same way to everyone.
- Never about traffic or ratings. Views, clicks, saves, enquiries and ratings don’t earn anything, so there’s nothing to gain from faking them.
- Never paid placement. AppKade Picks are chosen by our editors. If we ever offer paid promotion, it will be labelled differently. Verification is never a reward and is never sold.
- Never a public ranking. We don’t publish leaderboards.
5. Corrections and appeals
Every award records the rule it was made under and the facts it was based on. If we find a record that doesn’t match these rules, for example a referral between related accounts, we correct it and tell you. To appeal, email support@appkade.lk within 30 days; we decide within 10 working days. Breaking the Listing Policy or the Developer Agreement can pause or end your rewards.
6. Changes to these rules
We announce changes to these rules at least 30 days before they apply, on our What’s new page and by email to developers they affect. A change never takes away a title you already hold. How we use your account details to work out your rewards is explained in our Privacy Notice.
